Resolve the Carrd page ’Not found’ error after publishing
If you just published your site and are getting the ’Not found’ error when you try to view the site, there are a few things you can try to resolve it.
If you just published your site and are getting the ’Page not found’ error when you try to view the site, don’t worry there are a few things you can try to resolve it.
First, don’t panic. This happens more than you think and there are a number of reasons why it could happen.
Here’s a breakdown of what it could be and how you can try to fix it.
First, bear in mind it will usually take about 10-15 minutes for a site to go live when you publish on a custom domain for the first time. Contact Carrd if it’s not live after a few hours.
If you went straight into building a site as a new Carrd customer, you may have just not verified your email yet. Check your inbox.
It’s easy to leave the old tab open after changing the Publish URL from a draft URL to your custom domain. Check they’re the same, or use the View Page button after publishing.
This is more of a last resort, but can result in this kind of error. Check their Content Policy, then get in touch with support.
If one of these ideas doesn't resolve the issue, you should ask Carrd support. Send them an email explaining, and ask if they can help activate your site. I’ve always found them very responsive and fast.
